Veterans Need More than Temporary Support

If the success of Clint Eastwood’s latest blockbuster American Sniper is any indication, it’s that America loves its veterans. Likewise, plenty of respect and admiration is shown for those who have served the country every Veteran’s Day. Support for the film and for the veterans during their holiday, however, can only last for so long, and the nation’s veterans definitely need more than that.

Seeing your PTSD Claim Through

Combat deployments can inflict many traumatic events on soldiers and the psychological damage affects them after coming home. If a veteran suffers from a combination of flashbacks and nightmares and gets angry and depressed, they may be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Almost 30% of all military personnel who were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan over the past decade have been diagnosed with PTSD, and need the services of a skilled veterans disability lawyer to help them access the required benefits for their treatment.

In that regard, families of veterans who served in the army and are showing signs of PTSD or depression can seek legal help from a capable veterans disability attorney—such as someone from Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, for instance—who will not surrender until they get the benefits they are entitled to. Such an attorney are well-versed in helping war veterans get the reparation for trauma-related cases, be it physical or psychological. After proving that emotional stress has been sustained during the course of the veteran’s service in the military, a skilled attorney would push through with the case to the respective courts. Claim Benefits with Help from a Skilled Veterans Disability Attorney

An experienced disability benefits attorney from a firm like Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, would be able to point out the significance and implications of their current illness or disability having a presumed service connection. Most of the time, a veteran would have to prove that their disability was brought on by their time in service. With the presumed service connection, veterans can skip the process of having to prove anything, and be qualified for benefits. The severity of the injury will determine the amount of benefits you will receive. Your lawyer will outline the criteria that the VA uses to determine the severity of your TBI. This includes the results of your MRI scans and other factors. Get the appropriate treatment for your brain injury with your disability benefits. Your disability lawyer can help ensure that your claim is approved and you get ample compensation.
